About Dean CrossFit in Brooklyn, NY

Built in Brooklyn, Built for You

We started Dean CrossFit because we believed Brooklyn deserved a gym where elite coaching, real community, and programs for every type of athlete could exist all under one roof.

Our story

Back in December 2019, Dean CrossFit was formed by merging two community gyms—CrossFit Kingsboro and CrossFit Prospect Heights—with one common goal: to become STRONGER TOGETHER.

Our coaches come from a wide array of backgrounds, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you reach your athletic, nutrition, and lifestyle goals.

As one of the few Black-owned CrossFit gyms in New York City, we understand how important diversity and inclusion are to our community.

Dean CrossFit is welcoming to people of all races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

  • Do I need CrossFit experience to join?

Not at all. Every workout is scaled to your fitness level, and our coaches provide movement instruction in every class. If you're brand new, our Beginners CrossFit program is the perfect place to start.

  • How do I get started?

Book a free training assessment. We'll talk through your goals and experience, show you around the gym, and help you find the right starting point. No cost, no commitment.

  • What membership options do you offer?

We offer a 13 classes per month membership for athletes training around 3 times per week, an unlimited membership for those training 4 or more times per week, and a HYROX membership with race-specific programming. All memberships include professional coaching and access to our community events.

  • What's included in the HYROX membership?

The HYROX membership includes 12 HYROX classes and 1 active recovery class per month, with race-specific strength and endurance training covering running, sled work, rowing, SkiErg, and functional conditioning. Note that CrossFit classes aren't included and require a separate membership.

  • Where are you located and how do I get there?

We're at 845 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, easily accessible from the Atlantic Terminal transportation hub and the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, C, and G trains. Multiple bus routes and Citi Bike stations are also within walking distance.
